GENERAL INFORMATION
Siddhartha Tours & Activities
Please book your trips at our resort reception. Keep in mind to book your tours & trips at least two days in advance.
Temple visits: We provide you with a sarong for every trip that includes a temple visit (dressing modestly and covering knees & shoulders shows respect). Our driver will help make sure you are dressed correctly, using this traditional Balinese style, before you enter a temple. Please respect the Balinese traditions and culture.
The main entrance fee for large temple complexes (e.g. Besakih) will cover the entrances for all temple buildings. Local guides may offer you a guide fee for every temple building – these additional costs are not covered by the main entrance fee and have to be paid separately on the spot by you. You are not obliged to book these guides, your entrance ticket allows you to enter every temple on your own.
Lunch & Snacks: Not all trips include lunch. Please see the tour description to confirm if the tour you have chosen includes this. It is normal for Balinese to eat whenever they are hungry, there is no such thing as a set lunch or dinner time. Please don’t expect your driver to automatically bring you to a restaurant or warung at lunchtime. Inform him whenever you feel hungry and you would like to stop somewhere to eat.
Shopping & Payments: Payments & entrance fees in Bali have to be paid in the local currency – IDR (Indonesian Rupiah). The closest cashpoints/ATMs are in Singaraja or Amlapura, a one-hour car ride away from Kubu/Siddhartha.
While you are shopping at local market stalls, it is absolutely normal to bargain. Give it a try and remember to be joyful and kind when negotiating. Also, the more that you buy the bigger discount you’re likely to get. Ask your driver for assistance in case you are not sure about it. When you are in regular retail stores, prices are normally fixed. Never leave your shopping behind in a shop to pick up later! Please book your trips at our resort reception.
